back in 1996, cosc 455 students had to use katachi for two assignments - the first was to model a simple object using it. the second was to produce a short (10 second) animation. my whiteboard marker was met with critical acclaim ::ahem:: but my animation went massively over budget.
a tale of misery, hope and loss enacted entirely using plastic blocks, 'robinson lego' was a two-plus minute epic. ah, I wasted a lot of time on this... heh. I was unable to sign kevin costner, but check out the hyper-realistic water model and scarily detailed shark model! click here to download the movie (12.8 MB quicktime).
